Alter Ego Talk II - Inputs

So, as I said, I found the direction at least :) Many of you told me that she still has much canine anatomy and I was all like "...naaah, damn. I wanted to depart myself a little bit from dogs and wolves :hmm:" first, but someone dropped a comment that I should stay with my strengh.
And this person is right. In the end especially my Alter Ego should be fun to draw. And canine(-like) anatomy IS fun to me :)
So, I think I will keep the canine body, may alter it a little.. (you may already noticed that I like bent backs and massive chests). Just because I stay with canine stuff by my Alter Ego doesn't mean I'm no able to draw other animals in future ;P

I just made a new sketch of her. The skull is now more broad and I added some spikes on the tail bone area. She also got a heel claw now... I stole them from the Farfangs >D But I just like them... :3

Do you have any other ideas for her? Just some which pop into your head while looking at the lineart? :)

Oh and about the colors.. please don't expect any omg brandnew awesome colors!!!!!!1 :XD:
I'm a fan of natural colors like black, grey, white, brown etc for my own characters... I already have a design in my head and it won't be like.. sooo different from Aik's ;]

I actually really love the fact that you can alter the anatomy of a canine without it looking odd.i Think your new alter ego looks very natural and realistic and looks like a calm kind creature and i think you should keep the canine feel to it since it is your strength but on the other hand it's always good to try somthing new and learn new anatomy X3 im trying to learn to draw cats but im failing .

oh and that line " you may already noticed that I like bent backs and massive chests). " i totally love them too i made a crow speices with dog anatomy and bent back and sunken chests and a lil lizard tail XD i names it the Ceezy Crow ..i should upload him XD spotty .... i would comment more right now but my computer is like really slow 0-0 it dying on meh D:

i like the design! if anything pops in my head ill let ya know ^.=.0 and yy natural colors thos beliee are much harder to work with!

Das ist doch schön, wenn sie langsam Gestalt annimmt :).

Es stimmt aber, ich war auch verwundert als ich sie gesehen habe. Du sagtest ja dass du von den Caniden weg willst, aber sie ist eindeutig hundeähnlich. Man kommt wohl eben doch nicht so schnell weg von seinen Wurzeln xD.

Eigentlich möchte ich auch nur so weit weg, dass sie nicht mehr als "cute wolfie, awww^^" bezeichnet wird... XD

Ich glaube damit hat man hier so oder so einen schweren Stand. Man muss sich ja nur mal umsehen wieviele Zeichner ihre Caniden als "Wolf" bezeichnen, auch wenn Anatomie und körperliche Merkmale völlig außen vor gelassen wurden. Wen wundert's dann dass für die Betrachter ein Canide immer gleich "Wolf" bedeutet ^^'.

Ja genau. Ich hab erst kürzlich einen gesehen.. der Bauch hatte ein neonfarbenes Schachbrettmuster, der Schwanz war schwarz/weiss aber mit gepunkteten regenbogenfarben und so lang wie der von 'nem Lemuren. Auf'm Kopf 'n Emo-Haarschnitt und an den Beinen Armstuulpne. "This is ma timber wolf character Elisa".
Sehr nett. Wirklich.

(ich hätt ja nix dagegen, wenn sie sie Fantasy Canine nennen würden, aber TIMBER WOLF?!)
